Making History
Dear all, time certainly flies by and golly, what in the world are you guys still doing here? Tagging on my board even after I posed threats and warnings repeatedly to get you fleas out of my skin! Well, you guys made me turn to insults to reduce readership. If this does not work, I will post up my bikini pictures. *coughs-if-i-know-how-to-post-pictures-on-blogs-coughs*
So so so, I have received threats and complaints about my "not-so-far-and-apart" entries. So for those weirdos who are still reading my blog, I hope this is a nightmare instead of a treat. [I almost spelt "threat" instead of "treat" (-.-)"]
I am terribly sorry that I do not share enough with you pimples but I am here right now so hear me out. -pauses-
Ha! You have been tricked! You were supposed to go away after I said, "hear me out." All right, enough lame stuff and on to the main topic.
I am just done watching the opening ceremony of the 29th Olympics held in Beijing, People's Republic of China. Several thoughts crossed my mind when I was watching it.
(1) This is the first time I am even bothered to watch the opening ceremony of Olympics. I tried it once in 1996 when they were celebrating the centennial of Olympics but dozed off while watching for a few minutes. This time I managed to stay up throughout the four tedious hours. Cheered for countries I liked including Singapore, of course. I have always known I am patriotic and been very proud of the fact that I am of Chinese descent.
(2) Olympics seems like a commercial tactic for countries hosting it. Some countries might have animosity feelings towards another but everyone seems happy when they are there. [Hold your thoughts, more coming up]
*pauses regular blogging*
Side note: I must not jump ahead of others. I will learn to listen till the end before I speak.
*resumes regular blogging*
(3) With all the happy faces amongst the seas of audience and sports personnel, you know enmity between countries really belongs with the government. The people and soldiers are the ones who always suffers from silly decisions and propaganda from the government. When I watched Olympics, it is as the current motto fits: One world, one dream. No one killed anyone. This is how the world should be: One family. Sure we have our disagreements but you do not kill your sister or brother who crossed your path. I mean, most of us will not, I do not speak for everyone. Guess that means, some world leaders just behave like the psychotic siblings who kill when crossed by another. I know it is not always as simple as being crossed; there is oppression, injustice, corruption, discrimination and many other differences that turn people into such. Whatever it is, I feel very sad when I think of such detriments.
So anyway, back to about making history as my title states. It just hit me that we are living in what our future will call history. I think it is so cool. Even after ten years, people are going to go like, "hey, remember that on 8th August 2008 when Beijing was host for Olympics?" And, I will go like, "yeah, I watched it." I find the concept so awesome. I was part of something great. In a way, anyway.
All right, all the above was written on 9th August 2008 and it is not erm...10th August 2008. Bwahaha! I slept, played, ate and forgot to complete it. Trying to think of something erm...awesome to wrap up this entry. Here goes:
Pimples, we live only once as our current selves. I always run through the NPCO list on my MSN, both online and offline. I read all your display names and personal messages. Some have very heartbreaking words, others anger, philosophical, joyful and so on. I find this list so amazing. I feel so many things just by scanning through it and then work on stuff according to the needs of my different babies. Curses to those who have foreign languages on their display names and personal messages. Yes, I am talking about the Japanese and Korean words! You know who you are. -glares- And do not bring out about the pimple who used French because at least I can use Fish to translate.
Anyway, to return to earth here. I will be going back to NPCO starting on 26th August 2008. I know my readership consists of many year threes and a couple of alumni so this message is going to you pimples. I will try to rekindle the kind of love that existed in NPCO. I love NPCO because of all of you. Even with you gone, I will survive these dark hours and rebuild the fire with sheer willpower. Do not think I use the word "love" too loosely for each time I utter love, it is for a different kind of love. Therefore, everytime I say it. believe in it. For I truly, love thee. -brushes a couple of teardrops away from eyeballs-
"Take me as I am."
Recommended song: "Leave Out All the Rest" - Minutes to Midnight album - Linkin' Park
All right, enough BS to last you a lifetime.
Ciao, pimples!
P.S.: I love You. *hug & kiss*
